The Well and Other Ghostly Tales of Japan

I told you a while ago about “Hyakumonogatari Kaidankai: 100 days, 100 supernatural stories,” organized by Linda Gould, author and founder of The Women’s English Writing Group of Japan. This special online event counting down to Halloween since August 1st features one dramatic reading of a ghostly story each day. Two of my stories, The Hunter’s Wife and The Pilgrim’s Tale have already been read. Both stories are taken from my book, Ghostly Tales of Japan

You can hear Ghiselle Camacho’s reading of The Hunter’s Wife and Linda Gould’s reading of The Pilgrim’s Tale on Hyakumonogatari Kaidankai: 100 days, 100 supernatural stories.

I have also down a reading of a “true” Japanese ghostly tale set in the Shinagawa area of Tokyo. I believe that it is the first time that this tale has been told in English. You can hear my reading of The Well here.

If you have a story of your own, true or fictional, you can submit it to Linda’s Hyakumonogatari Kaidankai.
